I have been in education over twenty-five years. I was student teaching when Bill Clinton was inaugurated the first time and Maya Angelou read her poem. My students had to scurry around for ways to type their research paper. Google wasn't invented it and the only Internet in a home was dial-up. Times have change but unfortunately most teachers haven't change their methods. The majority of the time we feel as if the learning did not occur in front of us or the students didn't turn in something of substance, ie. paper, then learning didn't take place. My name is Glenn Shelton and I have been a Instructional Technology Specialist for the past four years. Before that, I was a high school English teacher for over fifteen years.
